Danny B at the Blue Goose Tavern, Etobicoke Saturday November 7, 2015

A milestone is said to be an action or event marking a change or stage in development. I had the pleasure on Saturday of meeting up with some old friends for just such an occasion.DSC_0048 DSC_0077.NEF The celebration was to mark 2 years and 100 shows at the venerable Blue Goose Tavern in Etobicoke for Danny B and his band. For 2 years, every Saturday, Danny B and his band have belted out the blues at the Goose.DSC_0074 DSC_0075 DSC_0085 DSC_0081 Whitey Glan on drums, Uli Bohnet on bass, Neil Chapman on guitar and of course Danny B on vocals and harmonica provided an afternoon of some awesome Blues! Also some incredible guest appearances by Christopher Plock and Virgil Scott made for a memorable afternoon. DSC_0060 DSC_0041 DSC_0067Sometimes milestones remind us of where we have been. In the fast-paced ever changing world we live in, sometimes it’s good to reflect. The Blue Goose hasn’t changed, Danny B hasn’t changed, the music hasn’t changed but when you get something right, why should it. DSC_0055Some things, as with a fine wine, get better. Congrats to Danny and all the guys for a great afternoon and keep up the good work!!DSC_0082 As always enjoy Toronto, get out and enjoy some of the awesome live music that is everywhere and if you see Danny B coming to a local near you, well worth catching live!!

  1. Thanks for the kind words . We’re there every Saturday afternoon and it’s always fun. The guest singer / hornplayers name is Christopher Plock. …and I’m not sure if he owns a glock. . 😀…Danny B.😎
