Mex-Fest 2015, Dundas Square, Toronto, August 23, 2015

There is always something going on at Dundas Square on a Sunday. DSC_0367 DSC_0356This week was the celebration of all things Mexican. A large and very diverse crowd was entertained by some fine Mexican music, dancing and some really tasty food provided by some well known food trucks and  Mexican eateries in Toronto.DSC_0370 DSC_0358 DSC_0372The theme was Mexican Independence and it wasn’t hard to see that Mexican flair and colour on full display. DSC_0360 DSC_0376 DSC_0377The square was full and everyone seemed to be having a good time. In keeping with the theme of independence a group of men and women even paraded through the crowd in support of women’s legal right to enjoy the afternoon topless, under the watchful eyes of a cadre of security guards and police. Toronto is the kind of place where we thankfully can still express ourselves freely.
