Big On Bloor Festival, Bloor St.W. Toronto August 23, 2015

This was one of my favourite festivals this summer.DSC_0266 DSC_0269

Firstly because it was within walking distance but also because I have always loved this part of Bloor St.. In all of the urban renewal I hope these shops are kept in tact.

DSC_0272 DSC_0273 DSC_0287 As busy as it was this was actually a very comfortable walk. Like most festivals it also feels like a bit like a sidewalk sale but offers much more! Lots of amazing activities for kids of all ages.

DSC_0278 DSC_0346The food was also incredible and served up by some of the local eateries that make this such a great part of town. DSC_0286 DSC_0322The music was also everywhere, not only on the two stages, but also on the street. From local musicians to a free drum lesson, all very entertaining. I got the chance to catch a set by the Devah Quartet, a Toronto based electric string quartet with a drummer that delighted the crowd with some progressive and original rock tunes!
