I took the opportunity, on another beautiful Sunday, to take in the annual Taste of the Danforth. In it’s 22nd. year this festival sure does know how to draw a crowd. Kind of a homecoming for me in that this is the street I grew up on as a youngster. Lots has changed but still a vibrant street in a vibrant community. The festival offers lots of entertainment for all ages, lots of free samples and tons of food. The entire stretch smells like a backyard barbeque. Quail, chicken, lamb, pork, with a few other offerings as well, grilled over hot coals. Well worth the visit and if you don’t mind meeting a few hundred thousand neighbors up close and personal, a great afternoon. Although it has become much more than just a greek festival these high kicking dancers from the Levendia X group sure did bring out the greek of it all. Hope everyone there had as much fun as I did and as always, get out there and enjoy Toronto!
