A Saturday Walk Through Kensington, July 4 2015

I thought with everything going on in Toronto right now I would start this post with a quote from an athlete. ” You are only here for a short visit. Don’t worry, don’t hurry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.” 1956, The Walter Hagen Story. I had other plans for Saturday when I got a panicked message from a very dear friend of mine. She is an artist in Kingston Ontario and preparing for her first major exhibition. Her supplier has messed up and certain materials urgently needed were here in Toronto and needed fast for fear of putting a good chunk of her exhibition in peril. I could have gone directly to the store on Spadina Ave. by subway and streetcar but a little light went on, perfect excuse for a nice stroll through Kensington.DSC_0004 DSC_0007 DSC_0008 I have always loved this place, must have at least 500 pictures of it , have even already done a blog of it, but it is always a pleasant experience. No big event, no festival, no tents, just a chance to walk through Kensington Market.Toronto is an incredible place full of incredible people and if you get the chance take a nice leisurely walk through this or any other of the great neighborhoods in the city.DSC_0011 DSC_0014 DSC_0021 DSC_0015 My friend Darlene Perry got her supplies and if you have the chance to be in the Kingston Ontario area please take the time to check her exhibit out. Well worthwhile!!!!DSC_0016 DSC_0028 DSC_0029As always Enjoy Toronto, and if in Kingston please do yourself a favour and check out Darlene Perry’s show!!
