My first stop was an installation in Trinity-Bellwoods park by Canadian artist Geoffrey Farmer. Right in the middle of the park a montage of randomly generated images, drawn from over ten thousand discarded photographs, set to music and sound.
Quite something to watch and feel. For all the activity going on in the park, it offered a chance to stop and think and reflect as each image created a thought or a memory. The installation is one of many spread all across Toronto as part of the annual Luminato Festival. Next past the stage being set-up for the MMVAs to Nathan Phillips Square for some sights and sounds of this years Toronto Jazz Fest.
Hip-hop and R & B were well represented and provided some great summer sounds.
The afternoon featured some very funky sounds by Juice Money Collective, featuring Octavio Santos (horns) along with Freshkils, Live MPC. and guest appearances by Junia-T , Melanie Durrant, Adria Kane. Tona, Marlon James, Jessie Reyez and Lyric L from London.
As always, Enjoy Toronto.I thought I would throw these two guys in because, well, I agree with them!!
