I had the opportunity and pleasure to attend “Recipe For Change” last evening. This is Food Share’s annual fund raising dinner. Food Share is a non-profit food co-op that has been in existence since 1985.
Armed only with a wine glass, a linen napkin and a fork I was unleashed into a cornucopia of delights from all corners of the earth.
What I did notice was the pride and joy that these artists took in their work. Happy to explain each dish to each and every person that asked.
The big and happy smiles on the faces of these chefs as each person took that bite and relished that dish were confirmation that these artisans really put a lot of love into their work.
There was also a silent auction of some really great items including bicycles, a stainless steel range, train trip with via and lots of neat smaller items as well. Unfortunately that no.3 blue sweater wasn’t getting the attention it might have at other times.
ll in all a wonderful evening. Thanks to newz4u.net fro sending me and many thanks to Food Share for putting the event on! Please look them up, they are a very important piece of our city, our schools and for all of those that need their help.
And yes I had the garlic and pepper infused marshmallow. It was great!
